St. Lucie County, Fl – Everybody’s Not Doing It (END IT), is a fantastic organization working with young people throughout St Lucie County. A non-profit 501c3 program designed to provide middle and high school youth with a Positive Peer Environment, Alternatives to Negative Peer and Media pressures, and a Platform to reach other teens.
Their mission is to prevent at-risk behaviors in pre-teen and teen youth by promoting
self -worth, sexual purity, drug and alcohol resistance, leadership, scholarship and community service.
Kurt Holden, candidate for St Lucie County Commissioner, says, “End It is an amazing program that delivers success to our youth through arts and life skills.” The arts program allows teens to have a platform to present topics such as Peer Pressure, Goal Setting, Distraction, Purity, Abstinence, Cyber Bullying, Bullying, Gang Violence, Teen Dating Violence and Human trafficking.
Students have the opportunity to collaborate with performing arts, visual arts and digital arts to create a presentation to exhibit publicly year-round. Themed weeks, teen-led activities and field trips keep the environment new and challenging on a daily basis.
“The program allows teens to work with state-of-the-art equipment to deliver high quality visual and sound while they learn in a safe and caring environment,” Holden stated after his visit to the sound studio.
The program is run by Sonia DuPree, the Executive Director, at 804 S 6th Street in Fort Pierce. “Her (DuPree) enthusiasm and experience is exactly what our community needs. The entire faculty and group leaders are amazing. I was so impressed with their programs; and the professionalism that they are instilling in our young people is a step above”, said Holden.
